Hernia - Herniated Disc
Hernia is a problem found at the backbone. Vertebras are separated by cushioning discs. In case of an injury to the disc, nerve ends situated around Vertebrae get affected. A Herniated Disc can cause pain and tingling sensation not only in the back areas, but in the legs, arms and neck as well. One of the major causes of Herniated Disc is bone degeneration due to vitamins ">age
 factor. Sport injuries as well as traffic accidents can affect spinal discs because of the shock factor to the spine. Herniated Disc in the lower back is called Sciatica. Herniated Disc, when related to the shoulders, can cause pain, numbness, or weakness in the affected area. When related to the back, pain, cramps, numbness, weakness, shooting pains can be experienced. Herniated Disc is not to be taken lightly. Nerve damage is a likely result, along with the accompanying symptoms, as mentioned above. Medical assistance should be sought, and treatment should be followed strictly, so as to continue living without pain and numbness. In extreme cases, where home remedies such as anti inflammatory painkillers, rest and cold/ hot compresses don’t help, seeing a specialist is recommended.
